Jewellery Care Guide
At PACE Made Jewellery, our pieces are crafted to be both beautiful and durable.
Our Tarnish Resistant Jewellery is crafted using high-quality brass or copper base metals that are nickel and lead free. Making them suitable for most sensitive skin types.
Each piece is finished with genuine 14K gold plating or 925 sterling silver plating. Then coated with a specialised protective layer, designed to help resist tarnishing and maintain its shine.
While our jewellery is tarnish-resistant, it is a plated product. Following our recommended Jewellery Care Guide will ensure your pieces look their best.
Keep Jewellery Dry
To help preserve the finish of your jewellery, avoid frequent exposure to water, moisture, humidity and harsh chemicals. Remove your jewellery before swimming, showering or spending extended periods in water.
Remove Before Sleeping
Sleeping in your jewellery can cause unnecessary wear, tangling and strain on chains, clasps and charms. We recommend removing your jewellery before bed.
Remove Before Exercise
Exercise can expose jewellery to sweat, impact and friction which may affect its appearance over time. Remove your pieces before workouts, sports or other physical activities.
Avoid Perfumes & Lotions
Perfumes, body lotions, oils, hairsprays and other beauty products can affect the finish of your jewellery. Apply these products first and allow them to dry before putting on your jewellery.
Store with Care
When not being worn, store your jewellery neatly in a jewellery box, pouch or dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Storing pieces separately can also help prevent tangling and scratching.
Cleaning Your Jewellery
To keep your jewellery looking its best, gently polish it with the soft jewellery cloth provided. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh polishing products as these may damage the finish.
A Note on Tarnish
Our jewellery is designed to be tarnish-resistant, however all jewellery may naturally show signs of wear over time depending on how often it is worn and how it is cared for. Following the above care recommendations will help keep your pieces looking beautiful for longer.
Step 2: Soak
Place your jewellery in the solution and allow it to soak for 5–10 minutes. This helps loosen dirt, oils and everyday build-up.
Step 3: Gently Clean
• Cleaning won’t remove tarnish from improper care.
